Shipping policy

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders manufactured by Halt and Fill (the "Studio"), operated by Halt and Fill LLC.

1. Rapid Production & Processing

At Halt and Fill, we have optimized our digital fabrication workflow to ensure your art is realized quickly without compromising precision.

  • Standard Production: Every piece is manufactured on-demand. Please allow 1–3 business days for your item to be printed, hand-refined, and quality-checked before dispatch.
  • Order Tracking: You will receive a notification as soon as your item moves from the print bed to the packaging station.

2. Domestic Shipping Estimates

We ship across the United States from our San Diego studio. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the weight and dimensions of your selected pieces.

  • Standard Shipping: 3–5 business days (after production).
  • Express Shipping: 1–2 business days (after production).
  • Note: Express Shipping accelerates transit time only; it does not bypass our 1-3 day quality-control and manufacturing queue.

3. Protective Packaging & Sustainability (CA SB 343 Disclosure)

To ensure your "Refined by Hand" piece arrives in gallery condition, we use a multi-layer protection system. We are committed to transparency regarding the lifecycle of our packaging:

  • Inner Layer (Tissue Paper): Our acid-free packing tissue is 100% curbside recyclable.
  • Outer Layer (High-Durability Bubble Roll): To protect complex geometries, we utilize industrial bubble cushioning. Per California 2026 standards, please note that plastic film is not accepted in curbside blue bins. We encourage you to reuse this wrap or drop it off at a dedicated plastic-film collection point (available at most local grocery retailers).
  • Outer Box: All cardboard boxes and paper-based void fill are 100% curbside recyclable.

4. Shipment Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email once your order has been handed to the carrier, containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

5. Damages, Loss, and Delivery Issues

Halt and Fill LLC is not liable for products damaged or lost during shipping once marked as "Delivered" by the carrier. However, if your item arrives broken due to transit:

  • Save all packaging materials and damaged goods.
  • Follow our Refund Policy to submit a photo-verification claim for a complimentary replacement.
  • Electronic & Structural Inspection: All lamps are electronically tested and hand-inspected before leaving our San Diego lab. If your lamp fails to power on or shows structural damage upon arrival, do not attempt to use it. Please contact us at operations@haltandfill.com within 48 hours with photo/video documentation so we can initiate a priority replacement for you.
